PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma

Do you have unsightly wrinkles? If you’re starting to develop lines on your face and don’t want surgery or a facelift, plasma-rich protein facials might solve your wrinkle problems.

About Plasma-Rich Protein (PRP) Facials

PRP facials combine platelets and plasma from your blood with other skin rejuvenating techniques to improve the way your skin looks. Using PRP facials triggers the production of collagen on your facial skin. When more collagen gets produced, skin appears tightened and smoother.

The Process of PRP Facial Creation

PRP facials don’t qualify as cosmetic procedures. Medical personnel consider PRP facials as medical procedures.

First, your medical providers at Seduction Cosmetic Center™ take a tiny sample of blood from you. This small sample gets spun in a centrifuge, and protein-rich plasma becomes extracted. Finally, the processed sample gets concentrated which creates PRP.

Using PRP to rejuvenate skin and tissue began with orthopedic doctors. These doctors began using PRP to assist in healing injured ankles, knees, and elbows years ago. Soon, physicians in the cosmetic surgery area started using PRP to improve the looks of skin with wrinkles.

While a PRP facial doesn’t treat deep facial lines, it does smooth out many types of wrinkles on the face. Another significant advantage of a PRP facial remains that it doesn’t require surgery, and the results occur much quicker than when a facelift gets done.

What Happens During a PRP Treatment?

First, your medical professionals spread plasma on your face. Next, they use tiny needles, called mocroneedles, to assist your facial skin in soaking up the PRPs. These microneedles make small punctures in the skin, and the PRPs get absorbed. The PRP material becomes dealt with on both the top and underneath the skin.

If you have deep lines your medical team might need to use hyaluronic acid fillers or Botox in addition to PRP microneedling to remove your wrinkles. Fillers add volume to the skin while Botox keeps the muscles in your face from contracting. F

For the best results, you might need to have either one or two treatments. If you have two treatments, you’ll need to take a two month break between PRP procedures. Additional sessions might be needed in the future to maintain your wrinkle-free look.

Please expect to have your blood drawn, to experience some pain during microneedling, and to have slight bruising after the process.

The Safety of a PRP Facial

Most individuals find the experience of the PRP facial to go smoothly and have no problems or side effects. If you have issues with blood clots, take blood thinners, or have health problems related to blood, you shouldn’t have a PRP facial. Please consult with one of our doctors to make an appropriate decision for your health.

PRP Expectations and Results

The only way to get facelift results remains to have a facelift. But if you’d like significant improvement in the wrinkles on your face and don’t want to have surgery, a PRP facial should provide good results. If you have a lot of loose skin or extreme skin sun damage, you need to consider having surgery to get a dramatic improvement. Our doctors help our patients make the right decisions for their situations every day.

Microneedling vs PRP Facial Microneedling

Standard microneedling minimizes the appearance of small lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. Collagen gets added to the needling process to add collagen and smooth the skin.

Platelet-rich plasma can be added to the microneedling process to further improve the way your skin looks by smoothing out deeper wrinkles, lines and age spots.

Are You a Good Candidate for a PRP Facial?

Only your doctor can determine whether you can benefit from the PRP facial. Most people with medium level facial lines find PRP facial results worthwhile.

You shouldn’t have this process done if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Use Accutane for acne treatment.
• Have acne, rosacea, or eczema, especially with new facial scarring.
• Scar easily.
• Have a history of poor healing of wounds.
• If you’ve recently had skin radiation.

Please bring a list of all drugs and supplements you take and a complete medical history when you come for your consultation.

Preparing for Your PRP Facial Treatment

You’ll get a list of things to do and not to do before your facial. Some of these instructions might include:

• Come about 15 minutes before your procedure is scheduled.
• Avoid exposure to strong sunlight before the procedure.
• Don’t tan or use a tanning booth.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.
• Arrange for a ride home from your appointment.
• Don’t wear makeup to the procedure, and make sure your face is clean. A bare face remains a requirement for a PRP facial.

You’ll get a topical anesthetic about 30 minutes before your facial and microneedling begins.

During the PRP Facial

Step one includes microneedling including the use of a derma roller or other device. Blood gets removed from your arm and gets processed while your face becomes numb. After microneedling, the PRP solution is massaged into your skin.

When your facial ends your doctor gives you a cream to soothe your skin. You might get to apply makeup. Your companion can take you home when the doctor dismisses you. You can return to work or school the next day. Please avoid strenuous activities for a while as your doctor recommends. You might need two or more treatments before you experience the ultimate results you desire.
